I was wondering if there is a NFL football game on today? It has been months since the last game of the season, so I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen. I even grabbed a cold one to get in the mood. The anticipation is killing me!
It turns out, there is a game on and I can’t believe how thrilled I am about it. The teams playing are the two I was hoping for since the playoffs started. Of course, I’m not hoping for one team to beat the other- I just want to see some great football. I’m expecting fireworks, so I’ve been counting down the seconds ’til it starts.
Even though I’m watching the game alone, I’m feeling like I’m cheering in the crowd since the atmosphere in my living room is electric. I’m jumping up and down with every touchdown and every tackle. The room is so loud with my cheers and groans that I’m sure my neighbours can hear how the game is going. Thankfully my room is the perfect cheering section for this game.
The weather outside doesn’t really matter to me since I’m in the comfort of my living room, but I can imagine if the game was at the stadium, the rain. It might have made it super difficult for the players, especially with all the mud and puddles, but I’m glad I don’t have to try and balance my umbrella while trying to watch the game.
This game is definitely a game of two halves, so I guess, we’ll see who’ll be the ultimate victor when the final whistle is blown. During the first half the teams were playing really well, everyone was playing their best and really going for it. Now it’s the second half and the tension is rising every second, I can’t wait to see which team comes out on top.
My nerves are getting the better of me, my heart is pounding and I’m biting my nails waiting for the game to end. It’s getting so close, the plays are faster and the moments are incredible, I can’t take it anymore. I’m even shouting at the tv like I’m one of the players, trying to encourage them to win.
The final whistle blows and it’s such an intense moment as both teams go to the centre of the field. I wondered who the winner will be and if my team will come up top. And guess what, they did! The suspense was incredible and when they take the trophy I feel such pride, it felt like they did it for me.
I’ve been watching NFL football games since I was a kid, and this game was one of the best ones yet. Every tackle, every goal, every match was entertaining, and I’m so glad I watched it. I had an awesome time, and it’s definitely a game I won’t forget in a hurry.
