I love the NFL. The National Football League. There’s something about it that just stirs up all sorts of emotions within me and I can’t help but get excited every time I watch a game. So when is the NFL season? Well, it actually starts pretty early.
The regular season starts sometime in the late summer, typically the week that follows the Labor Day holiday. The exact date changes from year to year, but it usually starts on the second Thursday of September. That means the 2021 NFL regular season will start either on September 3rd or 10th.
I’m already counting down the days until the first kickoff. I’m so eager to see all the teams in action, and witness amazing plays. I’m sure there will be some big hits, acrobatic catches and lots of touchdown celebrations. That’s the beauty of the NFL.
As for the playoffs, they start in early January. The exact date changes year to year, but it usually starts between the first and the second Sunday of January. Twelve teams make it to the playoffs, which culminates in the Super Bowl. This year, the Super Bowl is scheduled for February 7th, 2021.
The NFL season is always a roller coaster of emotion. Last minute plays, rivalries, and overtime games. All the drama culminates with the Super Bowl, which is as much of a spectacle as it is a football game. I’m counting down the days until the regular season starts.
So as you can see, the NFL season is always just around the corner. Between the preseason games and the regular season, there is always something happening in the league. Watching a game can be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, whether you’re hanging out with family or friends.
