I remember watching him throw the ball around like a firecracker, evading defenders all over the place. Even though his stats weren’t too impressive, it was always fun to watch Johnny play.
What made him so special was his energy. Johnny was a real sparkplug. He had the uncanny ability to rally the entire team around him with his enthusiasm and energy. He was never in it for himself; he was all about the team.

It’s safe to say that Johnny Manziel was a polarizing figure in the NFL, to say the least. I mean, here was a rookie coming into the league and doing things his way. Sure, some people liked that, but plenty of others were a bit annoyed by it.
Not to mention, the constant media coverage and speculation about Manziel didn’t do him any favors in the eyes of the fans. So while there were those that loved him, there were just as many that thought of him as a bit too much of a disruption.
Manziel’s success in the NFL has been a subject of hot debate ever since he left. Did he even come close to reaching his potential? Can he ever make it back to the NFL? Will he retire as one of the greats? All questions that only time can answer.
Even though his time in the NFL was short lived, I have a soft spot for Johnny Manziel. I hope he’s able to turn it all around and get back on the field. He was always a blast to watch!
Nowadays, Johnny has shifted his focus away from football and towards his family. He has a wife and two kids. So overall, his life seems to have taken a turn for the better.
The one thing no one can deny is that Manziel made quite the splash in the NFL. He gave it his all, never held back and never accepted defeat. That’s something you have to admire, no matter what your opinion of him is.
So, did Johnny Manziel play in the NFL? Absolutely. He may not have become one of the greats, but he sure left an impression on all of us.
