As a die hard NFL fan, I’m always trying to predict which team will win a given game. From the time I was a kid until now, it’s been a passion of mine. I believe predicting the outcome of NFL games takes some skill and intuition.
First off, I think it’s really important to be aware of the stats and trends. Pay attention to which players have been leading teams in scoring. Look at their rushing and passing yards. There’s usually a certain player or offensive line that stands out and can have a huge impact on the final outcome. It’s always good to keep up with the latest news on teams and players.
Next, you’ll want to check out the team’s schedule. Perhaps there’s a team that has an easy path to victory because they’re playing a weaker team. Maybe the opposition is coming off a tough loss which could make them vulnerable. Do your research on the teams that are playing and look for any clues that could give you an edge.
In addition to that, you should pay attention to the weather. Windy and rainy days can play a huge role in throwing off the team’s throwing and running game which could be the difference between winning and losing. If you know a game is going to be played in inclement weather, definitely take that into consideration when making your prediction.
Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to watch the games. I know with today’s technology it’s possible to get almost any game recorded, so I always try to watch the games I’m predicting. Watching the game live gives you an instant appreciation for the offense and defense and helps you understand why something happened the way it did. You can really get a feel for the players and the momentum of the game.
When all of that is said and done, I believe there’s still some luck involved in the prediction game. But if you do your due diligence—studying stats, watching games, looking at the schedule, and paying attention to the weather—I think you have a much better chance at being successful. So grab a snack, get comfortable and good luck!
