are nfl players taking a knee today

Today I just heard that a few NFL players are still taking a knee during their pre-game National Anthem performances. It is an emotional topic and I can definitely see why there is still division within our nation over the issue. When I first heard the news, my heart lurched and I felt a deep sense of sadness because it brought back a flood of memories of injustices and inequality that have run rampant in our society for far too long.

I think taking a knee is a peaceful way to speak out and send a message that certain issues and people are not being respected and treated fairly. It is a reminder that we should all strive to listen to each other and to make changes so that everyone feels safe and respected. It also shows that each person in our country is an equal part of and contributes to our nation.

I know that many people get angry and upset when they see players taking a knee. My personal opinion is that it is wrong to judge them harshly because everyone has the right to peacefully protest and express themselves. The players took a knee because they want to exercise their democratic right to address social injustices and I think that is admirable.

At the same time, I do respect those who disagree with the players taking a knee during the national anthem. I can understand that they may think taking a knee implies disrespect of the country or the flag, but I believe that was not the primary intention when the players took a knee. Instead, their intention was to call for attention and change to issues they are passionate about and felt were being ignored.

People on both sides of the issue have their own valid points and I think it is great that everyone is engaging in conversations about overtly political topics. I hope that this dialogue can help to bridge the gap between the sides and lead to understanding and progress.

If I had the chance, I would have a sit-down conversation with each side and explain why dialogue and understanding are important in making positive changes. Everyone needs to voice their opinions and listen to the other side too. It would be great if both sides could have a healthy debate and focus on the positive points each side has made instead of focusing on the negative aspects. This kind of discussion can help bring the two sides closer together and help us all move forward.

It is my hope that NFL players are not only seen as athletes, but also as human beings with autonomy who have their own likes and dislikes and are free to make their own decisions. They are not just figureheads or robots. I hope people can remember that when judging the players for taking a knee.

In the end, I believe that the taking of the knee is a peaceful way to protest. And even though people may disagree on how or when to do it, we can still come together to understand each other and strive for progress. As a nation, our diversity is one of our biggest strengths and that should be celebrated. We all have a say in how our country is run and I hope we never forget how powerful the voice of the people can be.

penn state in nfl

My experience with Penn State in the NFL has been incredible. Sure, I have an Nittany Lion koozie, and I make sure to money out every game so I don’t miss a beat, but that’s just the start of it. I mean, I’m a proud Penn State Alum, so you know I’m an avid fan of the Nittany Lions in the NFL.

The atmosphere in the stadiums when Penn State alumni turn out for the game is electric. You can feel the sense of camaraderie and shared pride with fellow alumni, family, and friends. Even non-Penn Staters tend to get caught up in the excitement. From the tailgates to the stands, you can feel the energy emanating throughout the stadium.

I still remember the first time I saw a Penn State player in an NFL game. I was so proud to see one of my peers playing at the next level, to say nothing of the countless other alumni who have reached the profession ranks as well.

The level of talent that Penn State produces is on full display every time an alumnus takes the field. Saquon Barkley’s amazing accomplishments in the NFL illustrate just how far a Penn State education can take you. His work ethic and ability to succeed have penetrated far beyond the football field and have inspired countless young Penn State fans.

The support the Nittany Lion alumni show to the players in the pros is absolutely remarkable. From the postage-stamp-sized pictures we keep coming back to their sheer joy and enthusiasm, we have created a lifelong bond with the team. Even if our team never wins a championship, the camaraderie of Penn Staters is truly special.

On Sundays now, I make sure to pack a Nittany Lion coffee mug for the games. I’ve been a fan of the NFL and Penn State since I was a child. To me, seeing a Penn State alum in the NFL is like watching a part of my alma mater play on one of the biggest stages in the world, and I’m proud to be a part of it all.

—————————————————–

I can’t tell you how funny it is in my household when Penn State plays an NFL team. Every time, it’s like a rivalry between my family. We make sure to wear Penn State gear to the games, so there’s no mistaking who we are going to be rooting for.

My father, a die hard Penn State fan, does his best to get us to the game, win or lose. He’s been a Penn State fan for as long as I can remember. It’s the bond we share as father and son. For him, watching a Penn State alum play in the NFL is a reminder of all of the important values he learned from the school: hard work, dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for the sport we all love.

It’s been extremely exciting to watch winning moments come and go for Penn State players in the NFL. From the receptions by Allen Robinson, to field goal kicks by Joey Julius, to the touchdowns scored by Saquon Barkley, we’ve all had plenty of highlights to cheer for.

It’s not only the incredible game-winning plays that makes it special for me, but the preparation and the intricacies of their craft that make their performances so captivating. There’s something special about watching a Penn State grad become an NFL star.

At the same time, I know the Nittany Lion experience isn’t only about the individual; it’s just as much about the team. Whether it’s a former “Crazy Chickens” offensive lineman blocking on a passing play, or a now retired Adam Breneman making a clutch catch in the red zone, it’s always an amazing sight to see Penn State alumni playing together in the NFL.

The amount of pride we have for our fellow Nittany Lions is unimaginable. When a former Penn State football player is honored for the accomplishments on the field, the entire university community celebrates. We all know that behind each NFL player is a family, a school, and a community that has his back every step of the way.

From watching games on TV and playing house when we were little, to actually seeing the success of the Nittany Lions in the NFL, it’s been an incredible journey. We have a group of players who remind us to always work hard and never forget where we came from. Nothing says “we are Penn State” like a bunch of stars shining in the NFL.

nfl xm radio channel

Hey there, have I told you about the NFL XM Radio channel? I’m so stoked on it – seriously, I came across it the other day and it’s been non-stop music for me since then. The channel has just about anything you could want for football and it’s absolutely free from the XM Radio track.

It’s amazing what kind of football related content they have. You can listen to live interviews with NFL coaches and current players, breaking news, podcasts, and more. They even have a weekly show about the top Fantasy Football players and they share predictions and insights about upcoming games.

The way they curate the content is really great too – it’s all totally up to date and applicable. Even though it’s totally free, it’s like having access to your own personal sports radio station. You don’t get the same kind of connection with other radio channels because the content isn’t nearly as personal.

What I really love about this channel though is the commentary. It’s like being right there at the games. I swear, the commentators are so unbelievably passionate about the teams and they really know their stuff. Plus, they don’t make it feel like an overly corporate broadcast or anything – you actually feel like you’re getting the fans’ perspective on things.

You can also catch fans talk in the chat section, which is always an interesting experience. It’s like everybody’s giving their own input and opinions on the plays. Plus, if you’re having a game party at home, you can just put the channel on in the background and everybody can listen to the commentary and chime in.

Anyways, I’m just really stoked about the NFL XM Radio channel and I think everybody should give it a shot. I truly believe that for any football fan, it’s a great way to stay connected and get the inside scoop. Would love to hear if you think it’s as good as I do.

Switching gears, besides offering up sports news and commentary, the NFL XM Radio channel also brings plenty of music related to the sport. You can get your fill of everything from fight songs to classic rock jams from the 60s and 70s – all chosen to get you psyched for the big games.

And how about the guests on the shows? The channel doesn’t just do their own stage shows, they bring in all kinds of former players and coaches to come talk about the game. From the weird to the wild, you get to hear some of the most historic and legendary stories about the game straight from the people who were there playing.

The NFL XM Radio channel also features fantasy football coverage. The channel is home to some of the best fantasy football podcasts out there. So besides hearing the latest news and commentary on games, you can also get some valuable fantasy insights to help build or bolster your fantasy teams.

Besides the podcasts, there are TV and radio simulcasts that cover major events like the Super Bowl and the NFL draft. This provides an extra treat for sports fans who can watch each event like they are actually at the games. It’s truly an amazing way to stay connected to the sport – even if you’re far away from your team.

And last but not least, the NFL XM Radio channel also offers a service for fantasy football leagues. If you’re in a league and you’re wondering how your teams are performing, you can get all the info you need from the show. This way you can have up to date fantasy information right in your pocket.

So besides all the incredible content you can find on the NFL XM radio channel, there’s also the fact that it’s totally free. Seriously, all you need is an XM radio subscription and you’re good to go. You’ll have access to all the sports news and musings that you can handle, and it’s totally free.

Whoa, so I can’t believe the number of things the NFL XM Radio channel has to offer. Not only does it offer up sports commentary, but it also brings us music, interviews, and even fantasy football analysis. Have you checked it out yet? Because if not, you’re really missing out.

has cj stroud declare for the nfl draft

As someone who follows the NFL Draft closely, I was surprised to hear that CJ Stroud had declared for it. There’s been a lot of speculation about whether he would but I was convinced he’d go the college route. It just so happens that he made the right decision for himself and declared, which in hindsight shouldn’t have surprised me because he’s been working hard. He’s living and breathing football and putting in the time so I’m sure he really wants to take that next step.

When CJ first started to get noticed on the junior college football scene, you could tell he had potential. He was a big talent; a big arm, a pocket presence and athleticism. He had it written all over him to be a superstar. It also became apparent that he had the drive to put his potential into action and get to where he dreamed of getting. He had the right people in his corner, and throughout that process, they weren’t afraid to rave about how special he can be.

Just watching CJ’s quick feet and fleetness shows you he’s a special talent. He has such great potential. His growth over the past year, the fact that he’s now in the NFL Draft, is proof he’s done everything he can to take control of his destiny and put himself in the best position to reach his goals.

I think there’s so much potential in having CJ Stroud play in the NFL. He has the skill set to thrive right away but the more important thing is that he is already surrounded by a team who recognizes and believes in his immense talent. He’s going to be backed by the likes of Dwayne Haskins and Justin Fields and I’m sure those two great quarterbacks have a lot to offer him when it comes to understanding what it takes to be successful in the league.

One of the things I really like about CJ is that he knows that the work is not yet done. He’s already taking his preparation seriously and he’s building relationships to make sure he is well equipped. He has a great attitude and a desire to be the best he can. As an NFL hopeful, it’s definitely an important part of the process.

The press conferences have been very encouraging too. It’s obvious that CJ is ready to put in the work and he knows it’s his responsibility to get ahead. I’m sure the NFL teams that will be looking at him will factor in his commitment because he brings that to the table too.

Overall, I’m excited to see the NFL journey he’ll be undertaking. His decision was the right one and I know he’ll be a fantastic NCAA player, should he make it that far. With his talent and dedication, this could definitely be the beginning of a very successful career.

who has clinched playoffs nfl

It’s that time of year again – the playoffs in the NFL. The teams have all made their final push and are now readying for the intensity of the postseason. As one of the greatest annual sporting events, I often find myself drawn into the excitement of it all. While this year is still up in the air, there are a few teams who have already clinched the playoffs.

The first team to clinch playoffs was the Baltimore Ravens. This AFC North team, led by young quarterback Lamar Jackson, had a great regular season going 14-2. The combination of Jackson’s resurging career and veterans such as Marshal Yanda and Thielen Smith make the Ravens an exciting team to watch. Their successful regular season performance earned them the Wild Card, allowing them to move into the playoffs.

The San Francisco 49ers are the second team to clinch the playoffs. This veteran team, with their young quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, led the NFC East with a record of 13-3. They may have lost Superbowl LIV, but they continued to stay competitive and successful. Their defensive line, led by Arik Armstead and rookie Javon Kinlaw, made plenty of big plays throughout the regular season.

The next team to clinch the playoffs this season was the Green Bay Packers. Led by their veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, this team had a regular season record of 13-3. Their success was in large part due to their impressive roster. With the likes of Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, and Allen Lazard, the offense had no shortage of playmakers, and their defense was nothing to laugh at either.

The last team to clinch the playoffs was the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. This team, with their stars Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, have been dominating all season. Even with their costlyslip up against the Chargers in week 12, the Chiefs managed to keep their success and clinched their playoff spot with a 14-2 record.

The playoffs are far from over and there are always surprises. Who will surprise us this year? Who will take home the Vince Lombardi trophy? Only time will tell, but for now these four teams are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

Not much of the remaining NFL teams have secured free tickets to the playoffs yet, except some of the division champion teams such as Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, and the other usual suspects. This makes the remaining schedules even more exciting as teams fight to secure their positions for post-season games. We saw some unexpected game results, resulting in teams such as the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots surprisingly clinching their divisional titles, having been considered by many to be long shots.

One thing that’s certain is that some new teams should have the chance to participate as Wild-Cards. The Tennessee Titans, for instance, have yet to cement their playoff spot even though they have a promising 10-5 record. These remaining divisions will be a great opportunity for some unexpected teams to put their names on the playoffs map. Moreover, we’ll be sure to see some thrilling action from some veterans too.

The playoffs are where the real challenge comes and thrills are sure to follow. It won’t be long before the best of the best teams facing each other with only one goal – to win the NFC and thus the Super Bowl. We can expect great plays, awesome new stars and a lot of intensity. Some teams will make it to the finals while some will stumble, some will surprise us and some will disappoint. That’s the beauty of it and the fun in watching and cheering for your favorite teams.

While we don’t know yet who will take the ultimate prize, the NFL playoffs will definitely be an exciting event. These four teams – the Ravens, 49ers, Packers, and Chiefs – have the guaranteed ticket of the playoffs; now, it’s time for us to wait and see who will join the party and who will take the trophy home.

nfl sunday schedule on tv

Ah Sunday, the best day for football watching! NFL Sunday Schedule on TV is a smorgasbord of entertainment that sets the stage for the upcoming week. With so many games to follow and keep up with, it can be quite overwhelming to know where to stare at first. As I log into my sports app, I can see the Sunday afternoon full of exciting matchups.

The Cowboys vs. Eagles game is the obvious flagship matchup to kick off Sunday. This classic rivalry will always be a marquee matchup of the NFL. The suspense of how the next running back or quarterback will perform for their respective teams always intrigues me. As the rumble begins at noon, I realize I have a hot bowl of popcorn in hand and excitement brimming on my face.

At 1:05 pm, the Patriots get the ball rolling in a home showdown against the Jaguars. The Patriots have a ruthless offensive line and I wonder if the Jaguars can handle the power and presence that comes from a Tom Brady-led team. With the Patriots having so much experience, I can only envisage how well they’ll use that to their advantage and dominate the game.

The Rams if they can find the speedster Tavon Austin in the draft, and the Cardinals game is up next at 4:25 pm. With the Arizona Cardinals boasting the likes of Larry Fitzgerald as their main target, I’m sure this will be an exciting finish for the Sunday schedule lineup. I’ve heard the rumor that coach Bruce Arians might be searching in the draft for a running back to help with the offense as well. There’s no telling what might happen with this matchup.

At 8:30 pm, it’s Sundays night football. Tonight’s game is between the Steelers and the Bears. This is sure to be a defensive showdown with two of the best and most storied defensive teams in the NFL. I can smell the leather from my couch and feel the energy of the crowd from my living room. With great defenders such as Navorro Bowman making an appearance in tonight’s game, I can only imagine how great of a defensive show this will be.

The rest of the Sunday lineup features the Packers vs. the Giants at 4:25 pm, the Buccaneers vs Titans at 4:25 pm, and the Ravens vs the Redskins at 8:30 pm. With so many great games to keep up with, Sunday is sure to be a nail biter packed full of surprises. As I know, Sunday mornings are always packed full of predictions and post game reviews, so I read up and prepare for the upcoming spectacle.

Granted, the Sunday NFL Schedule on TV may seem daunting as there’s plenty of games, but I still find time to catch all the action. I love knowing that I can each week, no matter what I am doing or where I am, I can always catch a thrilling game of NFL football with the Sunday lineup.

all time td leaders nfl

As a Football lover, you know that when it comes to the NFL, the all-time touchdown leaders always garner attention. While there’s no denying the fact that some of the greatest players of all time have contributed to this accomplishment, I think there’s much more to it than just skill – a lot of hard work and hard luck plays a part in this too.

To start off, there is none other than the great Jerry Rice, the record holder for most touchdowns in a career with 208. But his success didn’t just come out of thin air; he worked hard for every one of them, as evidenced by his astounding 19,247 receiving yards, 1,549 receptions, and 307 games played. That is not a record that any of us can match!

Not far behind him is the pretty much legendary LaDainian Tomlinson, who was incredibly popular and successful during his playing days and a six-time Pro Bowler. He always had an unrivaled knack for finding the end zone – in his 11 seasons, he scored a total of 145 TDs, passed for another 11, and even ran for a whopping 29 touchdowns.

Third, and also the third most prolific touchdown scorer of all time, is the quiet achiever, Emmitt Smith. He scored a total of 175 touchdowns over the course of 15 seasons and is the only running back in NFL history to be included in the NFL’s Hall of Fame, which is truly an incredible feat. He has consistently been one of the most clutch players throughout his career, with an amazing average of 4.3 yards per carry.

Last on this list is the legendary wide receiver, Randy Moss. His nickname, “The Freak”, speaks to the fact that his presence on the field was anything but ordinary and he regularly made impossible catches look easy. He scored 156 touchdowns in his career and still holds the single-season touchdown reception record of 23 touchdowns, which is a record that will hardly be broken anytime soon.

These four players are some of the most popular names in the Hall of Fame and rightfully so for their exceptional performances. This isn’t to say that other players don’t occupy their place in the annals of history – far from it. But the work that these four have put in has truly made them stand out and their successes will continue to live on for years to come.

The fact is that every touchdown scored in NFL history requires hard work and dedication from all parties involved. The touchdown that resulted from an incredible catch on the one hand and a brilliant pass on the other is as much the result of their combined effort as it is the result of individual excellence.

So, when it comes to appreciating the greatest touchdown scorers of all time, let’s not forget about all the people who worked hard to make those touchdowns a reality. Everyone from the players to the coaching staff to the officials to the fans all contribute to the success that we get to witness. It’s wonderful, isn’t it?

Now, looking at all of this, what do you think? Have I left anyone out from the all-time touchdown leaders in NFL history that deserves a special mention? Or do you know any inspiring stories from these legends of the game? Let me know in the comments below!
