I can already picture my friend’s faces after I tell them that multiple NFL players use the same towel, and their reactions ran the gamut from horror to confusion.​ “Wait, what? That seems like too much for my brain to comprehend.​” It took me a moment to realize what I was saying, and I was immediately hit with a wave of nausea.​

I mean, I understand why there’s a need for safety measures in any form of contact sport, but sharing a towel just doesn’t feel right.​ Doesn’t innovation usually involve coming up with new ways to fulfill a need? It feels like these players are settling for the easy way out, and it’s something that seems more fitting for us plebeians than high-level athletes.​

Then, again, I’m not an athlete, and most of my thoughts about this are pure speculation.​ Are the athletes being properly sanitized after each use, so to speak? Does the towel get replaced regularly, and is there continual oversight to be sure that proper hygiene is practiced? What do the team trainers have to say about this? There’s obviously a good reason why this is acceptable, but I have yet to find out what it is.​

Maybe I’m overthinking it.​ It isn’t unusual for teammates to share some equipment in team sports.​ Does it make more sense for the athletes to conserve resources and be budget-minded, or does it possibly put them—and their teammates—in danger of contamination? With the way the NFL arena is already a ticking time bomb of infectious diseases, I’d think that being extra careful would be in everyone’s best interest.​

As a career non-athlete, I am dubious about the wisdom of multiple NFL players using the same towel.​ Maybe they truly are doing their best to conserve resources, but it still sounds like a recipe for disaster.​

No matter what the official explanation is, it’s surprisingly common for some of these players to use the same towel, and invariably, I feel an unsettled feeling every time I hear this being discussed.​ Do they truly understand the consequences of their actions? Am I wrong for thinking this isn’t the best course of action?

I know NFL bylaws probably prohibit using the same towel for each player, but when everyday reality doesn’t always reflect the bylaws, it’s time to question why.​ It’s an interesting conundrum when it comes to multiple NFL players using the same towel, and I admit that part of me still doesn’t quite understand why it’s happening.​

When it comes to hygienic safety, I’m shocked to find out that this isn’t a deal breaker for the players.​ After all, it’s their jobs while being put at risk, and it just isn’t worth the potential consequences.​ Just the thought of it is enough to give me the chills.​

Perhaps it’s time to look for alternatives.​ I’d be so much more comfortable knowing that they have proper resources in place that will put everyone’s minds at ease.​ They should create a policy prohibiting towel sharing and instead provide each player with their own towel.​ It would also be great if they could create a way to track the use of these towels, to ensure that each player is getting their own clean towel each game.​

Providing the proper resources and equipment isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.​ Fans take these players seriously and expect that the teams are doing the same.​ By switching up the game and investing in the players, it’s possible to give them the best possible environment in which to perform.​

It’s time to rethink the way the NFL addresses the need for towels.​ After all, there are lots of new and innovative ways to give these players the clean and sterile environment they need to stay safe.​ It’s possible to not just create a policy, but also track the use of the equipment and provide resources that will go a long way in protecting all the players.​

There also needs to be a stronger platform for vocalizing the importance of not sharing medical equipment amongst players.​ This need to be discussed amongst and supported by the whole team, and proper resources need to be readily available.​

Empowering the team to speak up and get the tools they need is a great step in the right direction.​ Besides, in an environment that’s already so high-risk, it’s much better to be safe than sorry when it comes to using towels.​ No one player or team should be put at risk just because of a lack of proper medical equipment and sanitation.​

At the end of the day, it’s perfectly reasonable to want the players to be safe and be sure that they’re not putting themselves at risk of contamination.​ Multiple NFL players should be encouraged to not only use their own resources, but also have faith that their team will provide them with the best resources available.​

This isn’t just about good hygiene; it’s also about respect for each and every player, their teams, and their fans.​ Every player should be able to trust that their team is providing them with the necessary resources to stay safe, and that the game they’re playing is a reflection of their dedication and hard work.​

To get a better understanding of why someone might choose to undeclare, I reached out to a few of my friends who had recently graduated from the NFL.​ Each of them had their own unique reasons as to why they chose this path.​ From wanting to focus on their studies for a bit, to needing additional preparation and practice for the NFL, the reasons were always personal and never lacked emotion.​

I guess the biggest eye-opener for me was how difficult it is to make the switch from undeclared to declared.​ The NFL is kind of like a wall you have to climb and when you decide that you’re ready to declare, you have to re-climb that wall and battle for the spot again.​ All your hard work tends to just get overshadowed by someone better and with more experience.​ To make matters worse, once you undeclare, you have to pay your own fees to re-enter the draft.​

Honestly, though, if you ask me, no matter what anyone says, I’m all for undeclaring.​ It takes guts to really go against the odds and attempt something this risky.​ There have been a few lucky ones who have managed to successfully switch from undeclared to declared and have made it into the NFL, even though it’s really hard.​ With the right amount of hard work, dedication and a passion for the sport, it can be done.​

Thanks to undeclaring, a lot of the star players have a chance to shine in the NFL and be the game-changers that they were meant to be.​ Undeclaring has also made it easier for the NFL to take on a few of the promising talent that they may have missed out on earlier.​ Instead of giving us a pool of the same players, it now gives us a chance to see different athletes break out and show us their unique techniques to the game.​

So if you ever really feel that you aren’t prepared yet or your heart isn’t quite ready to give out its best for the NFL, conserve what you’ve got and undeclare for the draft.​ After all, the NFL isn’t something to take lightly, and if you don’t feel the readiness for it, don’t force it and take your time to learn and enhance your skills which in the end can only benefit you.​

Nevertheless, if you decide to undeclare, do realize that this isn’t going to be the easiest journey of your life.​ You’ll be fighting for a spot, and if you make it there, probably for the rest of your career.​ You’ll need to work extra hard and stay focused, especially with the other players striving to take your spot.​ Remember, when you do choose to undeclare and make it to the draft, you’ll be making a statement to all the other would-be undeclarers out there that somehow, every challenge can be conquered.​

In terms of preparing for the NFL if you choose to undeclare, build up your strength, endurance and agility, as these are the key components to success in the NFL.​ Also, attend various camps, attend training seminars, and take notes, and do some research on what the major teams in the league are looking for in terms of players.​ That way you have a better understanding and can prepare ahead of time.​

No matter the decision, you have to make sure that you stay consistent.​ Make sure that you keep your skills sharp and you are diligently practicing and training.​ Remember to be well-rested and hydrated, and also remember to take care of your body and use proper nutrition.​ And above all else, make sure you have fun and enjoy the process and the ride, because that’s the best part of the journey!

It’s an exhilarating experience, to say the least.​

Another great thing about watching NFL games on PS4 is that I can easily pause and rewind at any time.​ Even if I miss the start of the game, I can easily go back and hear all the analyst’s words that I’ve missed.​ Plus, fast-forwarding through ads and water breaks is a huge plus!

Finally, the audio is also immensely satisfying.​ While some other platforms can sound tinny and muffled, watching NFL games on PS4 ensures that I have near-perfect sound quality.​ No more worrying about having to turn up the volume to hear the roar of the crowd!

All in all, if you’re an NFL fan looking for an uncomplicated way to watch your favorite games, then PS4’s definitely the way to go! At the end of it all, I have to say that watching NFL games on PS4 has become one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.​ It feels as if all my NFL dreams have come true!

No longer am I bound by my TV or laptop, but instead I can watch the games I love any time and from anywhere.​ And I don’t have to worry about missing out because sofa-side time battles with work commitments; I can just hit the record button and get back to it when I’m ready.​

But even better, I realized that it’s even easier for me to get into the NFL because watching it on my PS4 makes me feel as if I’m part of the action.​ I still get excited for each and every touchdown and don’t miss a single detail!

It’s pretty amazing that so many people in the NFL have to take the Wonderlic Test.​ I remember when I was in college, a lot of my friends would talk about taking a practice version of it online to get a good grade before they had to take the real one.​ I was so jealous because I didn’t have access to it!

So, when I heard that some of the biggest names in the NFL had to take it too, I couldn’t believe it.​ Did the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers really have to take some kind of intelligence test to be chosen for the most prestigious league in the world? It kind of put things into perspective for me.​

I knew that the Wonderlic Test didn’t just measure intelligence, it tested aptitude, emotional intelligence, decision-making skills, and cognitive abilities.​ It was designed to measure aptability, work ethic, and problem solving skills, something that many of the players in the NFL have in spades.​

The Wonderlic Test was introduced into the NFL Scouting Combine in 1970.​ The 50-question test is timed and everyone taking it has 12 minutes to answer all the questions.​ It’s been around for a while, but it’s still an important part of the process for scout to evaluate the prospects.​

I think that the Wonderlic is a valuable tool for scouts because all the questions are designed to measure inductive and deductive reasoning, problem-solving, general intelligence, and memory.​ So it gives everyone an even playing field to judge the players on.​

At the high school level, Pahokee is also home to two football teams.​The Pahokee High School Blue Devils and The Pahokee High School Blue Raiders both strive for excellence in the sport.​The Blue Devils continuously make the playoffs in their respective divisions and have had some impressive wins.​ The hometown team also makes a point to have the Blue Devils play against several college teams during the pre-season, preparing the players for a potential career in football.​

Then we have college football in Pahokee.​ Pahokee is home to the Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish team.​This team is known for putting together some great players over the years.​ The Sailfish are also well known for their charitable efforts in the community, using the power of football to make a difference.​

Finally we have the NFL players, which, as I mentioned earlier, have seen a great degree of success in the league.​ It’s truly inspiring to see players from this small town make it to the highest level of football.​ It’s a testament to the work that’s put in at every level.​
