sundays nfl picks

On Sundays, there’s nothing quite like the thrill and anticipation that comes with the NFL picks. Every weekend, I look forward to picking my games, entering them into the brackets and crossing my fingers for a winning week.

I usually start my picks research on joyous Friday night. I’ll comb through the most recent profiles, closely examining injury reports, stats, news, trends, pretty much anything that can give me data that may give me an edge or advantage when making my final decisions.

I find myself caught up in the moment of crunching numbers, diving deep into the complexity of it all. In the end, its really about gathering as much data as possible to make the best decisions and that’s what I love about it.

Usually I mark up the final lines in my picks toward the end of Saturday. I try my best to follow my gut but I’m also constantly second guessing and that makes for a lot of wavering when it comes to crunch time. Do I take the favorite? Do I take the points? What would my wins look like and why?.

I take a step back and remind myself that it’s Sunday NFL and anything can happen. I’m actually trusted with making a choice and I owe it to myself to take a more calculated approach. So I review everything one more time, cross check to make sure I’m not missing anything, and then seal the deal when I’m good and ready.

At the end of the day, the picks are always in the hands of the players. The teams have their plans, I have mine and the only question to answer is who will be the one to pull through. How will my picks compare to the expectations? Who will surprise? Who will disappoint? All these questions will remain until we get the answers throughout the week on the field.

After I submit my picks, I take a break. I take some time off and usually try to check in during the day on how the games are playing out. I enjoy reading what other people have to say about the picks, it’s fun to compare notes and while I wait and watch.

When I make the picks, I’m not sure what will happen in the week ahead. Some games will undoubtedly go my way and others not so much. But I’m always confident and I always remain positive that I gave it my all and gave it my best shot to make the most informed and strategic decisions.

The results can vary but one thing will be for sure: when football games are finally done, I’ll definitely be looking forward to Sundays all over again. After all, with the NFL, you never know what might happen until the dust has settled.
