I recently stumbled upon an NFL coloring page online and I was so excited. One of my favorite teams in the league is the Green Bay Packers, so I could not wait to get started. Right away I noticed that the image was detailed and the colors of the players and the field were spot on, I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the cartoon version of my team.I got right to coloring and snagged the green crayon first. I filled in the green part of the player uniforms with so much enthusiasm. I was in awe of the intricate details featured on the coloring page, from the logos of the teams to the expressions on the faces of the players.
It felt almost therapeutic to color inside the lines and try to really capture the look of my favorite team. I even used some glitter glue to give the green parts of the uniforms an extra sparkle. As I worked through the page, I kept getting creative with how I colored in the images. From making the helmets full of sparkle to putting a bit of bounce in the players’ hair, the coloring page gave me lots of options for creative design.
I was feeling a bit nostalgic as I worked. I remembered watching some of my favorite teams come together, fantasizing that I was part of the action, and feeling inspired to bring the visions to life on paper. I even found myself talking to the players as I tried to make them look as realistic as possible. Every mark I put down made it feel like I was really part of the action, and I was beaming from ear to ear.
Before I knew it, I was done. I stepped back and admired my work. I was positively giddy with how great it looked. I would’ve been happy to hang this up in my room. I wanted everyone to see how amazing it was, and I wondered if I could enter it into a contest or share it with my friends on social media. I may not be part of a professional team, but I still felt so satisfied with my artwork.
Coloring NFL pages has become a regular thing for me now. Once I felt the joy that I experienced with the first one, I was hooked. I’ve collected the pages of all my favorite teams now. On weekend mornings, I tend to play some my upbeat music, wake up with a cup of coffee, and fill in the patterns with my favorite colors. I take my time with each one, carefully tracing the outlines and making sure I’m happy with the color scheme.
And it’s not just about connecting to my favorite teams. Coloring NFL pages has given me a way to be creative and engage with the teams I follow. I get to tap into my inner creativity, relax, and focus on the task at hand. I can take a break from life and really get in the zone. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter with friends who are NFL fans as well.
I’m not sure if it’s the challenge of being creative with the coloring schemes or if it’s just a way to switch it up when I need a break, but NFL coloring pages continue to bring me so much joy and satisfaction. And honestly, I’ve even been kicking around the idea of custom making my own pages and sharing them online. After all, why not share the love?
